A typical botting session

As a professional poker botter I have to plan my working day well.

Everything has to be prepared for an optimal session.

Which things have to be done before sitting down at the tables?

-    Your poker account has to be setup and funded
-    You have to figure out which deals are best for new accounts (CPA, Rakeback, Loyalty Programs)
-    You have to know at which times your bot will meet the most profitable opponents at the tables
-    On which limits are the winrates best?
-    You have to configure the poker client so, that the bot is able to scrape the poker table correctly (for example setting options for 4-colour cards or not)
-    Your Virtual machines need to be connected well and you need to have internet connection for the PC you are playing on
-    You need to check that you have the newest versions of bot software and tablemaps installed
-    Pokertracker should be installed and configured for working with your bot
-    You need a schedule when to play which accounts in which rooms
-    You need an internet connection where you can switch IP easily
-    You need your virtual machines setup properly

When you know that all this is done properly, you are ready to start your session.

Virtual Machine with the Casino software:

Start the virtual machine and start the bring server (preferably with a small Autoit script).

Then wait until you have started your bot machine.

Now enter the waiting list for your type of game.

When you are offered a table, sit-down and buy-in for 25BB in Limit or the amount you want in NL games.

Choose the “wait for big blind” option when available.

After that you have to connect the table with your bot.

Virtual Machine with your Openholdem (OH)bot:

Start Pokertracker and start the timer for auto-import of the poker site you intend to play on.

Prepare 4 instances  (if you want to play 4 tables – else less or even more) of Openholdem.

Check that your Bot dll is loaded.

If you intend to play Limit poker you need to lock the blinds for the level you intend to play.

If a table is available on the casino machine, we start the bring client.

You select in the bring client the table you want to display. Then you place the table on the screen so that it is not overlapped by other tables or programs.

Now connect OH to this bring window with your poker table.

OH will then start to play automatically.

Normally we play here 4 tables at the same time.

You repeat the steps above until you have all 4 tables running.

Run the tables in one poker room not more for 4 – 5 hours in a row.

Switch then to another poker room and play there the next 4 – 5 hours.

Many steps mentioned above can be automated with little autoit scripts.

We don’t recommend fully automated systems as many things can happen during a poker session.
